Hello there. My husband is currently in Korea and we have already been approved for AIP and have submitted our CS packet and are awaiting for approval. I was wondering, once you got your packet turned in, how long did it take for you to be able to check your status of CS online? I keep checking it, but it still says we do not have an application on file, yet I know they are working on it since they have called my husband with questions. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So, I have a few questions. My husband is in the process of adopting my son from my previous marriage. We are wanting to get a new birth certificate for my son with his new last name on it, and we also need to get him a new social security card as well. Here's what I need to know. My son has a civilian passport from when he was 6 months old. I went to JAG and they said that his passport would be good until next year, but if we change his name, don't I have to get him a new one? I was told by my lawyer that the adoption paperwork should all be done by the first of next month. I know that this is going to delay us a bit, but is it going to mess up my husbands orders at all? He is supposed to PCS to Korea around the middle of the next month. Also, speaking of passports, I keep getting told that I NEED to get a NO-FEE passport. Do I need to apply for one, or will the military make sure that I have it?

I don't have the family travel orders DFTWEB(4001), and I don't have our orders to go to Korea. Does my husband have that paperwork? And what the heck is ERB/ORB? Cause I don't think I have that either.

Another question I have. What do I do about our bank account here in the states. Right now, I'm with Regions. I live in Arkansas, and it's a bank that is here in the south. Is there a certain bank that I need to transfer everything too? Cause right now, all of our money is in this account, and my husband's check is deposited into this account.
