Do you have a nursery and is there a waiting area?
They do not have a traditional nursery. They do encourage and promote family centered care at the WICU. Your baby will stay with you the entire time that you are here. You will also do all the baby care for your infant (such as changing diapers, feeding, clothing, etc.) If you had a c-section and have no support person to assist you, they will help you and your infant but encourage you to do as much as you can.
As for the waiting area they have a small section of about 5 chairs outside the WICU entrance as a waiting area. It is a very small area so you might feel comfortable sitting in the Ambulatory Surgical Center which is right beside the WICU if they allow you. That area is very big and has two tvs.
