Procedures at Camp Casey
You will need to go with your spouse to the Ration Control office located in Maude Hall to get your temporary ration card. This card is good for 30 days. Within the 30 days you need to take the ACS New Comers and Spouse Orientation class. This class offers a ton of information. After this class you will get a certificate. Take this certificate to the Ration Control office along with you temporary card (your husband needs to be there). He will put in the order for you a permanent card. You will also need to go to DBIDS located on the first floor of Maude Hall, bring your passport.

You can track your purchases online at https://pimsk.korea.army.mil/ or just google ration control website and also www.usfk.mil/old/org/j1/dmgt/rc_faq.html
where u can get answers on limits and quanties.
For Civilian employees and Family Members, the most important thing you may need in Korea, besides a great pair of walking shoes, is a Ration Control Card.
Your ration card is just as important as your military identification card. In short, it is a card that most on-post businesses, like Army and Air Force Exchange, Commissary and the Chosun Gift Shop, need to see before you can make purchases.
Officials want to make sure you are not purchasing huge quantities of any item in order to resell. Your sponsor should be able to provide you with a temporary card when you arrive.
The following are some important points about this important card:
■You will need a Ration Card for each authorized Family Member (children ages 10 and up).
■Don’t leave home without it
■During their first two weeks in Korea, Civilian employees and Family Members can shop in the Commissary and PX with a military identification card and a copy of their PCS orders.
■Every purchase in the Commissary is recorded in a real-time system based on a shoppers identification number. The Commissary system sends information to a database which automatically generates a violation notice if you exceed your purchase limit.
■At the PX, ration limits restrict purchasing a maximum of three of the same high-value item. Cosmetics, select health and beauty aids and select wines are some of the high-value, high-demand items.
The Camp Casey Ration Card issuing office is located in Maude Hall, Bldg 2440. For more information, call DSN 730-3475. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thursdays 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

When you arrive sometimes they will allow you to go into the commissary and PX just bring your passport and military ID with you so they can see the date that you entered the country. As soon as possible go to Maude Hall so your sponsor can regislter you in Overseas DEERS and update your DEROS for 90 days so you can come on and off post without being accompanied. You then can go to ration control (in the same building) and they will issue you a temporary card good for 30 days. In order to get your permanent ration control card you have to get your SOFA stamp(see SOFA stamp discussion) then take your passport with back to Maude Hall so they will adjust your DEROS date to your sponsor's. It will take about 4 hours to update in their data base. After the 4 hours you go back to the ration control desk and they will order your permanent card. It will take about a week to come in. Also if your temporary card is expiring you can go in an ask for an extension good for another 30 days
